Two apps. One direction: out.

We build apps for the life outside the feed. Offline puts you in small groups of real people. shiver shows what you bring back: landscape, uncropped, and with no ad network reading along.

App 01 · for going out

Offline

Never spend Saturday night alone again.

Offline puts you together with three to seven people from your city who actually suit you, and then you meet, for real. No endless texting, no swiping through profiles: one evening, one group, one place. Made for anyone new in town, anyone whose circle has scattered, or anyone who simply wants to be among people again.

  • Small groups, not crowds Three to seven people. Large enough that it never goes quiet, small enough that everyone gets a word in.
  • Matched, not shuffled The group is put together from interests and personality, not from who happened to say yes first.
  • You pick what you do Game night, a bar, a walk. You have a say in the activity before the group is formed.
  • Confirmed before it starts The group is settled before the evening begins. Nobody sits there alone because others dropped out.
  • Try it without installing There are apps for iPhone and Android, and a web app. Have a look without installing anything.
  • City guides included Suggestions for places that work for a first meet-up, for the larger cities in Germany.

App 02 · for afterwards

shiver

Every camera in the world shoots landscape.

Vertical won because it fits how you hold a phone, not because it does the footage any good. Landscapes, sport, concerts, the workshop, the kitchen: anything wider than a face loses half of itself in a 9:16 crop. shiver turns that around. You turn the device once, and the video fills the screen in the shape it was shot in.

  • 16:9, full screen No automatic cropping, no letterboxing. What came out of the camera is what gets shown.
  • Three views Nearby for posts around you, Hot for what resonates, New for the latest.
  • No analytics SDK, no advertising IDs No Firebase Analytics, no third-party trackers, no IDFA, no Android Advertising ID. And no access to GPS location.
  • Servers in the EU Backend, database and video storage are in Ireland. No cross-device profiles, no fingerprinting.
  • Report and block, everywhere On every video, every comment and every profile. Blocking works both ways and is enforced server-side.
  • Delete your account in the app Under Settings, without going through support. The minimum age for using shiver is 18.

For businesses

Advertise where nobody swipes past

A place in the feed, not a banner beside it.

Advertising on shiver means uploading a clip, and it runs among the others: same format, same presentation, only labelled. You pay for views that actually happened, and whatever is not delivered comes back.

  • €4.00 per 1,000 qualified views
  • €5.00 minimum budget, no base fee, no commitment
  • 1 in 5 the cap on promoted clips in the feed, so it stays a feed
  • A view counts from the halfway mark It qualifies once at least half the clip has been watched. Anonymous views do not count towards it.
  • Whatever does not run is refunded If a campaign ends without spending its budget, the remainder comes back. That includes stopping it mid flight.
  • You never learn who responded The report contains totals and nothing else. Seeing an ad is not consent to being passed on.

Booking is the last thing we are switching on, so there is no form on that page yet. If you are planning a campaign, write to info@offline-events.de and we will set the first one up together. The offer is for businesses established in Germany, and both pages behind these buttons are in German.
